Stop 1
Mehrangarh Fort : The 5 km long majestic fort on 125 m high hill is one of the most impressive & formidable structures. Although invincible from the outside, the fort has four gates approached by a winding road. Within the fort are some magnificent palaces with marvellously carved panels, latticed windows and evocative names. Noteworthy of these are the Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Sileh Khana & Daulat Khana. These Palaces house a fabulous collection of trappings of Indian royalty including a superb collection of palanquins, elephant howdahs, miniature paintings of various schools, musical instruments, costumes.
Stop 2
Jaswant Thada : The imposing white marble memorial marks the site of the royal crematorium. It houses portraits of successive rulers. The four cenotaphs around here commemorate notable acts of bravery and generosity of the four successive rulers.
Stop 3
Umaid Bhawan Palace : This exquisite palace is also known as Chittar Palace, because of the local chittar sandstone used. It is a splendid example of the Indo-colonial art and deco style of the 30s. A unique feature of this palace is that the hand-chiselled sandstone blocks have been put together in a special system of interlocking: there is no mortar binding.
Stop 4
Mandore : was the capital of Marwar before the foundation of Jodhpur. Today its extensive gardens with high rock terraces make it a popular local attraction. The highlight of this place is the "Hall of Heroes" which houses sixteen gigantic figures chiselled out of one single rock. The statues are either of popular Hindu deities or famous folk deities. The royal cenotaphs or Devils of Jodhpur rulers on a high plinth crowned with soaring spires and ornate carving are amongst the other attractions of Mandore. The longest and finest of all cenotaphs are those built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh and Maharaja Ajit Singh.
