Overview

Har ki Dun, which means Valley of Gods, is situated deep inside Govind Pashu National park in North-Western Uttarakhand. Rich in flora and fauna, the trails are quite often covered in different shades of orchids and other wild flowers. In 1937, Doon school master Jack Gibson along with Tenzing Norgay and his colleague John Martyn climbed Bandarpunch. Jack Gibson made several expeditions in the region and trained young Indian mountaineers. This made the flora, fauna and Garhwali culture of Har ki Dun region known to the outside world.

Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from Dehradun Railway / Bus Station and proceed to Sankri which is 8 hours drive. Feel the nature, view the villages and have local food on the way. Reach Sankri and stay in Guest House

Day 3

Have breakfast and trek from Osla to Kalkatidhar which is at 3300 m and an 3 hour trek, which gives you beautiful view and excitement. Overnight stay in tents at Kalkatidhar.

Day 4

Have breakfast and proceed for trek from Kalkatidhar to Har ki Dun which is at 3510 m. On the way trek to Marinda Tal or Hata Valley depending upon the season. These are one of the beautiful valleys, the astonishing views are just worth to see. After that proceed back to Kalkatidhar. Over night stay in tents at Kalkatidhar.

Day 6

Have breakfast and trek from Osla to Taluka which is 4-5 hour trek, Enjoy the nature and have fun while trekking. After reaching Taluka, drive in vehicle to Sankri which is 1 hour drive. reach Sankri. Overnight stay in tents / guesthouse at Sankri

Day 7

Have breakfast and drive back to Dehradun which is 8 hour drive and drop to Railway / Bus station.
